Dāna

Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.
— Anna Lappe

dāna // (sanskrit) the practice of cultivating generosity

As equally as we are passionate about hospitality, we believe that this industry is an incredible platform to push a little more and do a little good.

Our practices: Over a rotational period we will be partnering with a local or global charity/not-for-profit organisation and donating a percentage of our profits directly to this cause. Every customer who dines with us will have the opportunity to match our small donation or provide a custom donation. No pressure - no questions asked - simply by dining at Dāna you are allowing us to donate on your behalf to a group that needs our help - and we think that’s pretty damn great.

Our ethos: Eat good, drink good, do good.

Together we have raised:

$40,932.61

Nominate a Charity

We're always on the lookout to learn more about the good work that's happening in our community, both locally and abroad. Typically, the organisations we choose to collaborate with will:

  • truly make a difference - our donation will create meaningful impact or change

  • be honest, evidence-based and sustainable - we're all about transparency and effectiveness. How can we use our resources to help others most?

  • be benefited by a louder voice - help us help you to raise awareness, factually and effectively

  • allow us to get involved - is there a way we can create a relationship, volunteer our time and have a hands-on approach?

Is there a cause you care about? Email Mikaela at info@danaeatinghouse.com.au with the subject title "A Group I Love" - let's chat!
